Three Months of Text4Hope-Addiction Support Program mitigates substance craving and improves mental health.

Introduction Problematic substance use is rising, and other mental health conditions like anxiety depression correlate with abuse. Diverse interventions to reduce this effect are emerging. Supportive text messages offer the prospect of improving symptoms drug misuse associated comorbidities. Objectives The study aims evaluate impact Text4Hope-Addiction program in mitigating craving, anxiety, subscribers. Methods Individuals self-subscribe Text4Hope Addiction by texting “Open2Change” 393939 receive daily addiction-related for three months. Subscribers invited via message complete online questionnaires which assess cravings, depressive using Brief Substance Craving Scale, Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 Patient Health Questionnaire-9 on subscription (baseline), six weeks Data were analyzed SPSS version 25 descriptive inferential statistics. Satisfaction responses used various aspects Text4Hope- program. Results There was a significant difference mean baseline three-month BSCS scores ( -2.17, 95% CI -0.62 -3.72), PHQ-9 (-5.08, -1.65 -8.51), GAD-7 (-2.93, -0.48 -5.56). Participants agreed that supportive helped them cope stress (89%), (81%) (69%). Conclusions effectively reduced among subscribers, high satisfaction rates Healthcare practitioners policymakers should consider implementing text-based strategies complement conventional treatments addiction.
